Mac OS X Dashboard Widgets

Ever since I first saw Dashboard in Mac OS X I was impressed. Even as a PC user I envied how clean and well executed everything looked. I had created Widgets for Desktop X and Konfabulator, which later became Yahoo! Widgets, but the engines to run them always seemed to take up so many system resources and they were only really used by die hard enthusiasts that wanted to emulate some of the pretty Mac functionality on their inferior OS.
